Whenever I open Outlook Express 5.0 I get the message 'Simple Mapi support could not be enabled because mapistub.dll could not be found in the system directory or failed to load'. I feel I should do something about this, but Outlook Express was loaded from a CD which I no longer have. How I can replace this file?
Microsoft says that this error message is caused by mismatched Mapi (messaging application programming interface) files. The recommended solution is to uninstall and then reinstall Outlook Express. If you haven't got the CD, your best option will probably be to upgrade to Internet Explorer 5.5 using Windows Update on the internet.
